Home Sweet Home

The home team in NBA Basketball wins over 65% of the time, and that is a fact, we looked through the last 5 years just to make sure as it seemed pretty high.

So one of our all time favourite plays on a daily basis is betting the underdog at home, sometimes we don't even care who it is, we just know this strategy will always payoff in the long run.

We might be cautious in situations where one team is particularly good on the road, while the other team is poor at home and significantly worse overall, but in most cases the team will have a losing record on the road, rarely do you see more than 8 teams with winning records on the road in any NBA season.

The home dog is almost always a good value bet, any time we get a plus money line on a team that realistically has a 65% chance of winning the game, we gotta take it.

The playoffs are another great time to hammer the home team, particularly in situations where a team is returning home after losing their first 2 games of the series on the road, you will almost always get good value in these situations.

Home court is a big advantage in this game, if you look at the overall record of NBA teams in the playoffs playing at home, you can see for yourself, in 2005 they were 60-29 for example, and no team had a winning record on the road in the playoffs, even the 2 finalists.
